Phillies Sell 3 Million Tickets Already

3 Million Phillies Tickets Sold Already!!

Phillies Sell 3 Million Tickets AlreadyIt’s time but is it just time for another disappointing season ending with Ryan Howard striking out on the last pitch?

You have to wonder have the Phillies done enough to solve the problem that has caused them to exit the playoffs early the past few years after being a heavy favorite to win the World Series? (Hit the damn ball!)

I’m not sure but yet fans can not get enough of them.

Some people had been lined up outside the ballpark since Wednesday night for their chance to see the 2012 Phillies.

Shortly before 7 a.m., team officials gave fans wristband to hold their place in line and let them go inside the Majestic Clubhouse to warm up. The store also has a 15-percent discount for the day.

Single-game Phillies tickets started selling online, on the phone and at the ballpark at 8:30 a.m.

John Weber, the Phillies’ vice president of ticket sales and operations, said they provide all three channels in order to provide something for everybody.

“You can go online and go on the phones,” Weber said. “It will be a little crowded, obviously, this morning, a little slow at certain points with so many people trying to get tickets, but hopefully with patience you’ll be able to get through and get the tickets you’re looking for.”

The team has already sold 3 million tickets to date, which Weber said “is an unbelievable number.”

So, about 500,000 or 600,000 tickets are left to be sold. Last year, the team sold a grand total of 3.68 million Phillies tickets.

“We’re hoping to do those same sort of numbers with the fan support that we’ve received so far here this year and ever since we moved into Citizens Bank Park,” Weber said.

Original story here.

I can’t help but wonder when I hear that people have been standing in line since Wednesday to buy Phillies tickets , that if people would sometimes put enough time and energy into the things that really matter in their life as they do their sports teams and other nonsense that in reality doesn’t provide any value to their life, that somehow they would be much better happier.. Priorities!!!!!  I don’t know – maybe it’s just me.

Well anyway – LET’S GO PHILLIES!!!
